Our 4th Annual Trick or Treat around the Center was held Thursday, October 27, 2011 from 3:30 to 5:30 PM. Despite the construction issues and less than ideal weather, our official candy counter reports just under 100 little ninjas, princesses, and vampires invaded Newington Town Center. Prowling for treats from downtown businesses they were not disappointed as more than 40 NDBA members participated in this year's event. The Newington Downtown Business Association Executive Committee wish to thank you all for taking the time to give a little enjoyment to our children. A special "Thank You" to the Newington Rotary and Jane Amoruso of the Sand Dollar Laundromat for sponsoring the Face Painting by Nicole.

Our 3rd annual Spring Festival Egg Hunt was held on April 21, 2011 from 3 PM to 5 PM. More than 40 Downtown businesses joined together again to provide close to 400 local young people a fun springtime experience.

The 3rd Annual Farmers Market in Newington Center will re-open Thursday June 23rd for the 2011 season. Join us Thursday afternooons from 3 PM to 6 PM and Saturday mornings from 9 AM to 1 PM on the "Green" in the center of the newly renovated municipal parking lot, Constitution Square, for fresh local produce and homemade items. The 8th annual 2011 Newington Waterfall Festival was a fun filled spectacular fall day. Highlighted features were the “Artist's Chalk Walk”, a variety of flavors from the many food vendors on hand, fresh veggies at the Farmers Market, a carnival with rides and live music.
